The proposed waiver request includes changes related to Title III funding requirements and accountability systems connected to multilingual learners and English learner programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ohio TESOL believes educators and stakeholders should understand how these proposed changes may affect local districts, instructional supports, staffing, family engagement, and services for multilingual learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ohio TESOL is concerned that portions of the proposed waiver could reduce important protections, accountability measures, and targeted supports for multilingual learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
