Featured Speaker: Tricia Thrasher, PhD
In her role as Director of Research & Validation at IMMERSE, Tricia Thrasher leads efficacy and user experience studies to inform product development and validate learning outcomes. She oversees IMMERSE’s internal research agenda, manage 40+ external university partnerships, and conduct mixed-methods efficacy studies on how VR and AI impact language learning. She also designs and leads UX research initiatives, turning user insights into actionable improvements for our platform. Her work spans publishing in peer-reviewed journals, securing grant funding, and presenting at conferences to bridge academic research and real-world product development. She also serves on the CALICO Executive Board and remains actively involved in the XR and language learning research community.
