OHIO RELEASES DRAFT ESSA AMENDMENT FOR PUBLIC COMMENT
Ohio School Report Cards and English Learner Accountability – Request for Public Comment
The Ohio Department of Education is soliciting public comment on amendments to its Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Plan. The amendments are proposed in response to report card reforms signed into law earlier this school year. Some of the changes have implications for Ohio’s English language proficiency improvement measure (the baseline year, long-term goals, and the overall weight of the indicator). Review the Department’s announcement here and submit all comments to accountability@education.ohio.gov by Wednesday, June 1st.
