High School Diploma or equivalent

Valid Driver's license

Appropriate State of Ohio Teaching License (TESOL Endorsement on Teaching License)

A satisfactory report from Criminal Records check

Good health, high moral character, and good attendance record

Demonstrates a sincere desire to aid all students

Plans, implements and assesses instruction designed to develop students abilities to use certain skills, apply core concepts, become self-sufficient individuals, think and solve problems and integrate knowledge

Assesses student learning using a variety of tools 

Communicates results to students, parents, and staff.

Creates a learning climate that supports student achievement and safety.

Evaluates teaching effectiveness based on student achievement in relation to student attainment of goals.

OHDELA

Job Title: Virtual EL Teacher

The EL Teacher...
-Teaches at least 3 live sessions per week, per course
-Provides 1-1 tutoring, homework help, individualized instruction, and small group instruction
-Designs engaging course cards and lessons, as well as organizes curriculum(s)
-Implements progress monitoring assessments and analyzes data to inform instruction
-Analyzes English Language Proficiency (ELP) using OELPS/OELPA results
-Familiarizes and prepares students for the OELPA
-Maintains updated records of EL students, including EL plans and EL monitoring plans
-Communicates with families frequently in their preferred language(s)
-Collaborates with the EL Coordinator and testing department for OELPS/OELPA and statewide assessment administration
-Collaborates with general education teachers and intervention specialists for EL support

This is a remote position. However, significant travel through Ohio is required. Candidate must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to administer OELPS/OELPA.
