QUALIFICATIONS:

Doctorate in TESOL, ESL/ESOL (English as a Second Language) Multilingual Learner (MLL) Education, Second Language Acquisition, or closely related field, by date of appointment, and a minimum of three years of full-time teaching experience in PK-12 schools.

Consideration may be given to candidates with: (a) knowledge of and experience with multicultural and multilingual populations; (b) engagement with anti-racist, anti-oppressive, culturally relevant and sustaining pedagogies; (c) university teaching experience in a TESOL-related field; (d) evidence of high quality teaching; (e) experience teaching hybrid or fully online as well as face-to-face courses; (f) experience with school-university partnerships; and (g) experience with grant-writing and implementation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Successful applicants will be expected to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses (4/4 load), supervise clinically-based program experiences, supervise graduate projects, assist with student advising, and provide service to the department and institution. This position is eligible for promotion, but not tenure, and begins in August of 2024.
