An Ohio Department of Education Sponsored Event
Sherine Tabyaraja (ODE) will provide an overview of the Ohio Dyslexia Law and Dyslexia Guidebook. Successful implementation of the Ohio Dyslexia support law will require the implementation of various practices grounded in the Science of reading approach. Universal screening, progress monitoring, and delivery of strong reading interventions are examples of required practices. These requirements have the potential for a significant positive impact on all learners, including English learners. For English Learners to benefit from these practices, several unique considerations must be made by school teams. Milena Varbanova, Marie Kobyashi, and Wendy Strickler will provide practical guidance around integrating language and other background information in the process of making individual student decisions.
This live webinar is being presented at no charge because it is sponsored by the Ohio Department of Education. With the purchase of the 2022-2023 Tuesdays with Ohio TESOL Professional Learning Series, you will be able to view the four ODE-sponsored sessions, and the additional eight sessions live. Additional benefits of purchasing this series include viewing all sessions once the recordings have been processed via the Ohio TESOL website and complimentary certificates for attendance.
